Care for kids north devon
Care for Kids provides financial support to local families who have a child diagnosed with a life threatening illness or condition. This is to help with the costs of travelling to and staying at specialist children’s hospitals outside the area. It also helps with loss of earnings whilst caring for a very poorly child. We also carry out enhancements to the Caroline Thorpe children’s ward at NDDH, making the ward more comfortable for the children who use it.
Care for Kids is a very small but focused charity, with every donation making a significant impact on the charity's ability to support local families who are going through the toughest of times. k9 focus
K9focus is a Dog and Cat rescue based in North Devon and run entirely by volunteers who give their time freely. Our main aim is the rescue, reabilitation and rehoming of abused and unwanted dogs and cats (although we have been known to rescue the odd pig, chicken and donkey!). Each year we rescue in excess of 100 pets and help many more through our Pet Assist scheme. This scheme was launched in October and offers financial help to individuals who are struggling to keep their beloved pets due to financial hardship, illness or homelessness. We receive no official funding and rely totally on our fundraising events and those organised by our supporters - so please do support this event - it means so much to us and of course the animals.

The ragdolls
Drawing from the likes of The Strokes, Pixies, and New Order, The Ragdolls tightly weave infectious hooks with pulsing upbeat rhythms and melodic vocals. In 2023, they released their debut EP ‘We’ve Gone Wrong’ under their former name Astrid, and garnered numerous plays on BBC Introducing in the South West. They released their second EP, ‘Nuisance Diary’ in November 2024.
Souls of misfortune
Formed in Spring 2015, ‘Souls Of Misfortune’ are a four piece Alternative Rock band based in the South West of England. Driving, tribal, bass guitar & drum machine rhythms, exquisite spatial electric guitar, soaring keyboards & dramatic haunting vocals are woven together to create the Soul’s ‘Sonic Cloak of Darkness’
The band have an innovative approach to adversity. During Covid the band played a band stand tour entertaining outdoor crowds safely distanced. They have also played a gig on an open top bus around the coastal town of Whitby.
Expect the unexpected when you are introduced to the eclectic and different world of the Souls.
The monotone rainbows
The Monotone rainbows are a originals grunge band based and creates in North Devon, vocalist heidi was the only member for some years writing since she was a teen untill teaming up with guitarist kurt the songs have evolved over the years, now will a full band with hari woodman on the bas and stuart on the drums the songs are explosive and creative drawing influences from Alice in chains, nirvana, hole, sound garden, stone sour and many many more they are certainly a band not to be underestimated
