The bloody, two-day battle fought there defined the future of the Ohio Valley. What caused this confrontation to take place, and why was the outcome so pivotal in deciding the history of Western PA?Henry Bowden is a lifelong amateur historian focusing on local and national history, with a preference for early American history. Born and raised in Turtle Creek, PA, he graduated from Turtle Creek High School in 1970. He is a reenactor, a public speaker, and a member of many Western Pennsylvania historical societies.
