About this Event
Join us for Batik & Sip: Patterns of Palestine, a relaxed and welcoming charity art workshop.
This session introduces Batik, a traditional Indonesian textile art form created using wax and dye to form patterned designs. The Batik process is calm and hands-on, making it a lovely way to slow down, learn something new, and enjoy creating with others.
For this workshop, participants will work on a thoughtfully illustrated design inspired by Palestinian themes. This design serves as a gentle guide, all colours, styles, and creative choices are completely up to you, so every piece will reflect your own expression and creativity.
The workshop is fully guided and beginner-friendly, making it suitable even if you’ve never tried Batik or any art workshop before. The focus is on enjoying the process rather than getting things “perfect”.
While you create, enjoy traditional Indonesian Jamu along with light Indonesian snacks, in a warm and friendly setting.
