About this Event
Join Save Our Marine Life for a FREE screening of OCEAN with David Attenborough at Perry St Cinema Batemans Bay, on Wednesday 20th May.
As Sir David Attenborough marks his 100th birthday this May, we celebrate his remarkable life and legacy with this powerful documentary - sharing his greatest message of hope. OCEAN takes viewers on a breathtaking journey, revealing that there is nowhere more vital to our survival, nor more full of life, wonder, and surprise, than the ocean.
In the film, the celebrated broadcaster and filmmaker reveals how his lifetime has coincided with the great age of ocean discovery. Through spectacular sequences featuring coral reefs, kelp forests and the open ocean, Attenborough shares why ocean recovery is vital for stabilising our climate and securing a healthier future for us all. He explains how marine protection - if immediately implemented - can help to turn the tide.
After the film you'll hear from Save Our Marine Life & expert panelists, on the role of marine sanctuaries as part of the solution for ocean recovery and resilience. And importantly, on what the community can do to help ensure our oceans are protected for the future.
Doors open from 6pm for a 6.30pm start. Book your free ticket today as we are expecting a full house.
