Join us for an evening of bat detection and learn all about these fuzzy mammals.
About this Event

What to expect:

- The evening will include a chance to learn all about the fascinating world of bats.

- A guided bat walk with bat detectors.

- Setting up and checking a moth trap - to learn about an important food source for bats.

Pre-booking is essential, book now to confirm a place.


Please be aware Eventbrite booking closes one day before each surveying event at 5pm.

We will be distributing a few bat detectors for the group on the night.


If you own ID guides/books, you are welcome to bring them along.


The session will run for 2 hours and include after dark. Please be sure to check the weather/temperature and dress accordingly.


COVID-Safe Measures:


Whilst social distancing and COVID-safe measures are no longer legally required, you are welcome to wear a mask if you would like to. Please consider others' wishes who may still want to social distance, and always wash hands before eating/drinking on TCV projects.


Under 18s:


All ages can join in the bat night, please see extra info below:


If you want to volunteer and are 16-17 years old please ensure you get in touch with us at [email protected], as you will need a completed parent/ guardian consent form to join in. For everyone aged 15 and under they will also need a parent/guardian with them to attend.

We will meet at the Paddock main entrance next to the 2x green office buildings on Ferry Lane, N17 9NG.
