BIO:
Deb Halstead
Creating and crafting was passed down by Deb’s mother and grandmother. Her mom
taught her to sew, and her grandmother introduced the arts of crochet and knitting
before she became a teen. As a young adult, a basket making class revealed her true
passion. This sparked 30 years of refining and teaching this primitive skill. Her baskets
have become saught after in local shops. Deb loves fostering others to experience the
joy of producing a fine finished basket by the end of every class. Deb, also, embraces
homesteading by raising chickens and tending her many gardens of herbs, vegetables,
and flowers. She happily shares her skills, teaching herbal remedies, balms, tinctures,
and soaps. Deb is a superb teacher, as demonstrated by her many students returning to
learn more.
