FURTHER UPDATE FOR ATTENDEES:Our sincerest apologies but we have had to cancel this event as well as the additional session on the 7th of March as our lead basket-weaving instructor is unable to attend due to ongoing illness. We hope to still run the needle making and sewing session in late March as well as re-post the basket weaving workshop but for now we cannot do so reliably. Apologies once again, I know so many were looking forward to it and we have enough material now already purchased we have to run this in the future! Please also watch this space for future workshops but again due to illness we'll be focussing our resources on the workshop at Traquair house more.
UPDATE: THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED AS WE ARE AT CAPACITY FOR ATTENDEES. If you had indicated you are "going" up until the 11th of Dec then you are on the list. We'll be doing similar sessions in the future if you missed out, watch this space for future sessions.
This session is indoors at the Peebles Community Centre and we'll be learning some basket weaving using willow and similar materials. Cost for the session is £10 to cover materials and hall hire which we ask you bring as cash as we are not set up for card payments. Please can you indicate if you are coming as we will need to acquire the materials in advance.
There will be limited use of knives or secateurs as the only hazard to be aware of.
