Our Basic Tube Feeding Course introduces, describes and demonstrates the procedures used to tube feed doves and pigeons patients in wildlife rehabilitation settings. The course covers general nutrition for different species, the problems that volunteers may encounter, the skills needed to handle both equipment and patient and how to prepare and administer the feed under the guidance of senior Tube Feeders.
It is a prerequisite for the Advanced Tube Feeding Course.
This course is for
• Kanyana volunteers
• Wildlife volunteers at other centres, with the equivalent skills and approval
• Vet or vet nurse students who would like to work with wildlife
