A basic map reading day especially for riders who would like to explore the countryside a bit more or for those who want to brush up on map reading skills. Led by Gemma Scougal of Wildways Adventures.Join a small group and be convinced that riding out somewhere new is very doable and is just about a bit of confidence and knowing a very few basic of map reading. As well as the basics of knowing where you can ride, Gemma will give tips on how to plan your route, how to match the map to the bridleway you are on, how to check you are where you think you are and what to do if you feel a bit lost!
Gemma is a lovely friendly navigation tutor with experience of working with Duke of Edinburgh students and adults. She has a talent in making things manageable.
The cost will be £35 for 6 people or £45 for four.
