BASIC IMPROV FOR PERFORMERS: LEVEL TWO is an 8-week intensive course designed to elevate your improv toolkit. Building on the character foundations from Level One, this class dives deeper into creating characters with depth, constructing clear environments, and making strong object choices to bring your scenes to life.
You can expect to learn more advanced fundamentals of short form improv, develop richer characters, and make bold, purposeful choices with characters, objects, and environments. Through dynamic exercises and group games, you’ll deepen your “Who,” sharpen your “What” and “Where,” and craft scenes that don’t just play, they move. Think stories with momentum, not just moments.
After eight weeks of sharpening your scenes, deepening your characters, and building worlds from thin air, you’ll take the stage with your classmates for a one-night-only Student Showcase, a chance to show off everything you’ve been creating in class, live and unscripted.
Prerequisite: Level One completion or 1 year of improv experience (subject to an audition).
About the Instructor:
Victoria Wagner is the Executive & Artistic Director of Yes, And Story Studio (YASS). She has been performing improv and theater for over 30 years and teaching for over 9 years.
