A FREE community class, planned for you. As graphic design tools and ai become more accessible to the small business owner, a need has developed for the small business owner to understand basic graphic design skills and intellectual property basics. In this class, we will learn: Graphic design basics, production file basics, file types, and graphic skills for marketing and advertising. We will also lean intellectual property related to graphic design, and basic laws which regulate graphic assets such as third party stock and font licensing. Knowing the laws can help avoid and expensive takedown order. We will cover generative ai, uses and cautions. If I get requests, I will also cover trademark verbiage and how to name your business. (For clarity, Paul Halkyon works in logo design and brand development. While branding is not part of the class lesson plan, he will be available for branding questions.) Class registration is not required, you do not need to be a business owner to attend.
