In this DIY booster for women you will learn the basics drill skills needed for hanging shelves, curtains, blinds, pictures, etc. including many DIY skills that you can transfer to other tasks. In a relaxed and safe environment and in the company of three like-minded women, I will teach you:
- how to drill into masonery vs hollow walls
- how to drill into tiled walls without breaking the tile
- how to understand your combi drill and its different functions
- basic knowledge about drill bits and how to choose the correct one for the job
- which type of rawl plugs and screws to use for different wall types
- different types of screw heads and how to prevent screws from stripping
- how to avoid drilling into electric cables and pipes
The workshop will last about 2 hours and take place in Whalley Range.
Each participant will get a chance to practice her drill skills with a hammer drill during this workshop, and there will be time for any DIY questions you may have.
