Basic Bike Care & Maintenance Class

Learn essential bicycle care and maintenance practices to help keep your bike running smoothly, safely, and reliably — and know when it’s time to bring it in for service.
Whether it’s a mountain bike, gravel grinder, sporty hybrid, casual cruiser, or road bike, this class will help you protect your investment by inspecting and caring for your bike properly. Suitable for weekend riders and daily commuters alike, you’ll gain confidence to care for your bike and prevent common problems on the road or trail.
In this 2-hour class, you’ll learn:
- How to perform a pre-ride safety check to reduce the chance of breakdowns on your adventures
- How to check and inflate tires to the correct pressure (toprevent punctures!)
- How to clean and lubricate your chain and gears for smoother, longer-lasting performance
- How to fix a flat tire, including removing both front and rear wheels
- What tools and supplies to bring on a ride
The class will be a mix of instruction and hands-on learning, so you can practice key skills in a supportive environment.
