About this Event

European honey bees were introduced to north America centuries ago and have become welcome pollinators of agricultural and ornamental plants. Keeping them safe and healthy is essential. Honey beekeeping is quite complex. This begins a series of workshops on back yard beekeeping. Content in this workshop includes safe beekeeping, state regulations and good neighbor practices and what to expect as a beekeeper.
