Join us in welcoming Micki Keck back for an ASL Workshop designed just for KC Center for Inclusion! Michele ‘Micki’ Keck was born to a mixed deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing family (fourth deaf generation on her maternal side) in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Kansas School for the Deaf, Gallaudet University, and McDaniel College. After teaching American Sign Language and Deaf Studies in community colleges and deaf schools for more than 25 years, she currently is an Independent Living Advocate-Deaf Services at The Whole Person. This workshop will include:
➡️Total immersion ASL
➡️A brief introduction to Deaf culture
➡️Specific signs relevant to the LGBTQIA+ community
➡️An opportunity to practice with each other and the instructor

Room 1L is on the first floor of the main building at Plexpod Westport Commons. Park in the north parking lot and use the main event entrance at the old Westport Middle School. Signs will be posted to help you find your way.
