In this fun, hands-on four-session class, you will learn the basics of signing and begin having simple conversations in ASL. Participants will learn the ASL alphabet, practice fingerspelling their names, and build an everyday vocabulary they can start using right away. Through games, activities, and lots of practice with others in the class, you’ll learn how to introduce yourself, ask simple questions, and respond in basic conversations. This class is designed to be beginner-friendly—no experience needed! By the end of the course, you’ll be able to sign basic phrases and feel more confident starting conversations in ASL. This series is taught by staff from the Willie Rose School for the Deaf. The cost is $5 and you must register in advance. Registration opens Tuesday, April 21st, at 2 pm.
