A bit about our Cask: Here we stand, presenting our third release from the Highland Park distillery, nestled among the Scottish islands. Our journey began with our inaugural Sherry cask expressions, often referred to as "Sherry bombs," brimming with the quintessential sherry influence that defined our early releases. Now, joining those predecessors, is our first venture into 10-year-old whisky territory. This latest offering, a spirited 10-year-old distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022, embodies a distinct departure, leaning towards a more spirit-forward profile. While the sherry cask's influence remains unmistakable, its hue diverges from the predecessors, signalling a new chapter in our flavour narrative. Despite this evolution, the DNA of our distinct palate remains intact, with a thick, luscious texture that envelops the senses. As we unveil this third release, the culmination of our three-part series, we celebrate a selection true to the ethos of Barrel & Batch bottlings—abundant in flavour, rich in palette. With deep golden clarity, the aroma dances with oak, smoke, violets, cloves, new leather, and vanilla. Upon tasting, notes of vanilla, smoke, toasted oak, nutmeg, and demerara sugar unfold, leading to a lingering aftertaste of vanilla, smoke, and cloves. We are thrilled to share this finale with you, a testament to our commitment to craftsmanship and exploration.
