Barnstormers Pop-up Plays

What started as a simple Barnstormers idea to encourage new writing that could be performed in village halls across West Somerset quickly became something far bigger. We received more than forty submissions from writers nationwide and from our own community, all united by a love of storytelling. Reading them reminded us how powerful theatre remains in bringing people together through funny, moving and deeply human stories. Tonight’s programme has been shaped with enormous care thanks to the generosity of writers, readers, volunteers, directors and performers, and we are grateful to everyone who helped bring these plays to life. We hope you will enjoy the evening and perhaps leave feeling inspired to tell a few stories of your own.
