This exhibition ooks at the history and design of the world’s most famous and iconic dolls.About this Event
This major new exhibition coming soon to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum looks at the history and design of the world’s most famous and iconic dolls. Come and celebrate how Barbie has inspired generations across the world for over sixty five years.
Featuring over 250 objects, from the very beginning to the present day, the exhibition showcases fashion, architecture, furniture and the many friends of Barbie.
We will spend approximately 2-2.5 hours at the gallery and then head for lunch at Santa Lucia restaurant approximately 6-7 minutes a walk away (which is going back towards Partick Station anyway). We have to book a certain time, and I hope to reserve the 12 noon entry slot for us.
If we have a group of more than 10 people attending, then we can get a group discount of 10%. Full price tickets are £17.92 Dates are filling fast, so there is a time-limit to book your space. Please book your space in here first then. If we get 10 people by the date set here, then I will email everyone the BACS details to pay and then I will pay the group booking directly with the exhibition. Please note: NO refunds will be given once paid, if you can no longer make it as the venue does not offer refunds.
Lunch is optional, so if anyway does not want to eat, that is absolutely fine and you are welcome to browse the shops, return home or make other plans. I will be in touch nearer the time to book the restaurant table as bookings over 6 need to be booked directly, in advance.
This is one of the very first events we spoke about and now.......THE TIME HAS COME. Get your Barbie's (and Ken's) at the ready!
