🇨🇿 Druhý projekt umělecké rezidence zpěvačky a dirigentky Barbary Hannigan na Pražském jaru 2026 přinese nejen harmonické spojení lidského hlasu a smyčcových nástrojů, ale rovněž festivalový debut předního světového komorního ansámblu Belcea Quartet. V podání souboru, jenž je pravidelným hostem londýnské Wigmore Hall či newyorské Carnegie Hall, zazní krystalicky čisté hudební miniatury průkopníka Klangfarbenmelodie Antona Weberna a Mozartův „Disonantní“ kvartet, ve kterém si skladatel odvážně pohrává s klasickou harmonií. 🇬🇧 The second project conceived by singer and conductor Barbara Hannigan during her artistic residency at the Prague Spring 2026 brings a harmonic blend of human voice and string instruments, while the concert also marks the festival debut of leading world chamber ensemble Belcea Quartet. The ensemble, a regular guest of London’s Wigmore Hall and New York’s Carnegie Hall, will present a programme featuring crystalline musical miniatures by a pioneer of Klangfarbenmelodie (sound-colour melody) Anton Webern and Mozart’s “Dissonance” quartet, in which the composer audaciously toys with Classical harmony. In the second half of the concert the voice of Barbara Hannigan will join the four instruments in the rousing, dreamlike music of young Paul Hindemith and seeker of new musical expression Arnold Schoenberg, whose second string quartet with its soprano solo is described by Hannigan as a “cool, soothing, extraterrestrial breeze that is gently urging us away from what we knew and loved, including harmony”.
