About this Event
Bar Exams is a hip hop–influenced game night where performance meets debate and the audience gets to watch the city’s talent play with BARS in real time.
This is our first official show of the season — a launch night where our cast brings hip hop lyrics to life through two main games:
RAP MONOLOGUES
Cast members perform a verse from a rap song like a theatrical monologue — character, emotion, storytelling, and stage presence. It’s not just “rapping”… it’s acting through the lyric.
LYRIC DEBATES
Cast members take a famous hip hop line and argue it like a debate prompt — for or against, with humor, insight, and quick-thinking. Think: bars… as philosophy… as comedy… as culture.
Whether you’re an actor, rapper, poet, comic, teacher, student, or just somebody who loves hip hop and live energy — this is for you. Come laugh, react, and be in the room while we test the bars.
What to Expect
