It's time for another band night! Let's jazz up (hah!) our regular social dance by adding some live music. In between sets its the perfect time to put your classes into action, and come have some fun with us, or learn what swing is all about! 7:30 pm FREE SWING DANCE TASTER CLASS
Come along and bring your friends, for a free no obligations taster class in Lindy Hop, a fun partner dance to music from the big band era (kicking off in 1930s and 1940s Harlem New York).
No partner or prior dance experience necessary!
8:30 pm BAND NIGHT WITH DAVEY BACKYARD
The tiniest band in Christchurch, the fantastic Mr Davey Thorpe–otherwise known as Backyard Davey– he's played many gigs for us over the years but not for a while now so we're keen to share his fun with the newer Rebels. Full of energy, he’s the most coordinated person you’ll ever meet and produces way more sound than you can ever imagine from one person.
He'll play until 10 if the room empties out but on until 10:30 if the room is pumping so sleep bank a bit the week prior and let's have a great night!
