However, the main inspiration in Sol’s style probably comes from his love of Ronnie Lane, Dr John, Van Morrison, Keith Floyd, Velvet Underground, Tony Wilson and John Lee Hooker. Dil & Ric simply love all things funky!!
Of course, they might chuck in the odd cover, but in a set of 20-25 songs, you might get two or 3. Curtis Mayfield’s “Move On Up” is a current fave, or the Stones’ “Midnight Rambler” maybe? Whatever they choose to do, they make it their own anyway.
