GUEST DJ Al ShawFirstly, a HUGE thanks from all of us at Banbury Soul Club to those who attended our anniversary event way back in November 2025.
Quite simply without YOU, the attendees, we would not have an event.
Our next event is Saturday 30th May, 7.30pm to midnight.
For those that haven’t been before please make sure you come along and enjoy a superb soulful night’s entertainment.
Unfortunately, two of the resident DJ’s have had to step down for purely personal reasons.
However, joining the other residents at BSC is Nick “Topsey” Turvey.
Nick has been a long time supporter of the club.
With his own radio show and regularly DJ’ing elsewhere he is a welcome addition to the club.
Al Shaw, resident at Lickey End Social Club, is our guest DJ for this event.
Please give him a warm welcome.
Al was a guest a few years ago and did a superb spot.
We promised we would get him back but sorry it’s taken so long.
Rest assured his collection will definitely entertain you and keep the dance floor busy.
The best access to the club at the moment is by way of Tramway Road.
The Club Postcode has NOT altered and is still OX16 5AB.
BUT the new access to the venue is via Tramway Road.
Post Code for Tramway Road is OX16 5TU. If this is not recognised then Post Code OX16 5AQ is for Morrisons Supermarket on Swan Close Road. Tramway Road is opposite Morrisons. See diagram.
Simply go all the way down Tramway Road until the roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout and you are on the road that leads to Banbury United Clubhouse.
Turn right into the Clubhouse car park which is well lit.
Still only £5 on the door.
Anyway, onto the night itself.
Those who have attended previously know the format for the evening.
As always, the emphasis is on quality and enjoyment.
Charlie, Steve and Nick the resident DJ’s will be playing their own selections of danceable soul music to guarantee a brilliant night.
And Al Shaw will compliment the evening with his treasure trove of records.
Expect to hear sounds from the last 50 years covering all genres, tempos and styles.
In summary this will genuinely be a “something for everyone” evening.

For those who have not been to Banbury United Clubhouse it has a free car park immediately outside the venue.
With a raised stage, main wooden dancefloor and with seating and tables on both sides.
Another plus is its all on ground floor level with no stairs to contend with.
For people with mobility issues the Club has disabled toilet facilities.
Hopefully this will give you an idea of the layout and how it’s ideally suited for a night of soul music.
Pay on the door is still only £5.00.
