“Dan’s Motel” (1981) will screen Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 4:30pm at the Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive.Presented as part of BAMPFA’s acquisition of Jerry Ross Barrish’s three feature films—Dan’s Motel (1981), Recent Sorrows (1984), and Shuttlecock (1989)—along with the documentary Plastic Man: The Artful Life of Jerry Ross Barrish, this retrospective series, “Jerry Ross Barrish: A Life in Film and Art,” celebrates Barrish’s singular vision across independent cinema and found-object sculpture.
