Baltimore Honky Tonk, in partnership with the Center for Cultural Vibrancy, is proud to welcome Cherokee singer-songwriter Agalisiga “The Chuj” Mackey back Baltimore for the second time. At just 22 years old, Mackey has been captivating audiences across the Midwest with his original country-folk songs sung in the Cherokee language. His deep baritone voice shaped by years of singing Cherokee ceremonial music brings a fresh yet timeless sound that blends the raw spirit of Jimmie Rodgers and R.L. Burnside with the storytelling power of Cherokee tradition.
