About this Event
Baltimore Breathwork: A Transformative Journey
Foundations of Baltimore Breathwork:
- Trauma-Informed Practice: Integrates embodiment practices, emotional processing, and expressive arts to support healing.
- Transpersonal Psychology: Explores spiritual, mystical, and expansive dimensions of human consciousness.
- Psychedelic Healing: A non-substance-based “sober” exploration of psychedelic breathwork.
- Modern Consciousness Research: Delves into both neuroscientific findings and spiritual psychology to build a comprehensive philosophy of breathwork, pairing new information with ancient wisdom.
- Applications in Sound Healing: Utilizes gongs, sound bowls, chimes, Koshi bells, tuning forks, and other sound healing instruments for both private and group sessions.
- Practical Business Content: Provides tips for starting a small business, including branding, social media, financial exchange, and insurance—all the essentials to turn a passion into a profit.
- Intuitive Healing Arts: Develops your intuition towards becoming an intuitive healer, using essential oils and the chakra system to guide sessions.
Becoming a Baltimore Breathwork trained facilitator means engaging deeply with these fields, combining personal transformation, ongoing practice, and tools to guide clients one-on-one or in groups. It’s more than certification—it’s a journey into your own profound healing and growth.
Liz is a retired classroom teacher who started the first breathwork sound bath in Baltimore City over seven years ago. She designed this course for a small group of about 12 people who are interested in both diving deep into their own healing and learning how to hold space for others. After completing all six days of training, participants will earn a Baltimore Breathwork Teacher Certification and have the skill set to start their own business if desired. Many participants take the course solely for their own enjoyment.
Applying and receiving essential oils on chakra points is part of the course, as is learning how to use sound healing during both private and group sessions. The course explores both the spiritual nature of breathwork and some of the scientific premises and benefits of breathwork, allowing graduates to decide their own philosophy of the "why practice breathwork" in the spiritual vs. science continuum of healing.
