Join Nature Reserves Officer Ryan Bradley for a guided summer walk through Balloo Wetland [https://www.ulsterwildlife.org/nature-reserves/balloo-wetland] and Balloo Woodland [https://www.ulsterwildlife.org/nature-reserves/balloo-woodland] Nature Reserves in Bangor, where a mix of wetland, woodland, and meadow habitats supports a variety of wildlife close to the city.In the wetland, explore ponds and reedbeds that attract dragonflies such as four-spotted chaser and common darter, as well as frogs, newts, and wetland birds including little grebe, moorhen, and little egret. In Balloo Woodland, enjoy mature oak, beech, and Scots pine. Look out for butterflies such as common blue, peacock, and ringlet, and listen for songbirds including blackcap and chiffchaff.
