The phrase was introduced to the band by one of their most beloved and now dearly departed tour managers. Functioning like a motto or mantra on the road, it was a ramshackle statement that could be blurted out by anyone at any time. It was just as suitable to yell in the glow of post-show euphoria as it was to say in the quiet melancholy of a 4am lobby call. Partly sarcastic, partly serious, and definitely filled with the giggling resignation of seasoned road dogs; it’s a humble catchphrase that perfectly embodies a musician’s somewhat misguided devotion to being on the road.
This next chapter of The Rock ‘n’ Roll Adventure will be stacked with fan favourites, deep cuts and everything in between, culminating in a massive celebration of everything that encapsulates Ball Park Music and all the wonderful things that the band has achieved over their career that currently spans eight studio albums.
Expect an ever-changing journey through every era: the anthems, the slow burners and the deep cuts that have somehow grown into fan favourites. After an especially exhilarating year that sees the band visit everything from tin sheds to stadiums, from Albury to Amsterdam, and even clock the 600 show milestone, this will be the definitive Ball Park Music experience.
This tour brings the band back to some of their most beloved venues across the country in rooms where the walls still hum with the echoes of past tours, massive singalongs and the magic of nights that were over a little too soon.
