Behind the register, through the cold storage room, and beyond a parted curtain accessed only if you know about it, lies Chicago’s most exclusive speakeasy. Opened six years ago, Bodega masquerades as a Mexican minimart on Clark Street and serves as a popular Chicago private dining room — but after hours, the lights turn low. The music goes up. Live entertainers post atop booths and mingle with the crowd. The energy rises.
