Helen Gentile and Lewis Wood interweave clarinet and fiddle to perform an evocative set of balfolk dance tunes. They will perform material from their award-nominated album Violet Sky (2024), including both traditional melodies and their own compositions.
Tickets are from £12 in advance / £15 on the door, and include an introductory dance workshop suitable for all levels.

WHO IS BALFOLK OXFORD? (they sound GREAT)
Balfolk Oxford is a grassroots dance group, with live sessions + social dances held monthly at the Isis on 4th Sundays. We are blessed with a vibrant and beautiful music and dance scene, and it's a unique and gorgeous atmosphere.
We always hold a newcomers and advanced level workshop during the first hour, followed by open session and social dancing.
The sessions are free, as long as you support the Isis by buying drink & food at the bar :)
We'd love to see you there. 2-7pm, 4th Sundays of the month.
