About this Event
Bald Eagle Hacking Tower Hike at 1:00 p.m.
- Registration REQUIRED by February 5.
- Free, but limited to 20 people (NO walk-ups!).
- Northfork Service Area on McGowan Road (directions will be provided)
An important part of our reservoir’s history, Indiana’s Bald Eagle reintroduction program was primarily conducted in the Northfork area of Monroe Lake. We’ll hike in to see the remnants of the hacking tower, where the eagles were raised, and the observation tower, where wildlife biologists observed the birds as they took their first flights. 75 to 90 minutes
