Get ready for Balington or just brush up on your Balboa basics by joining Sugarfoot Stomp for TWO exciting workshops (+ social practice) with very special guest teachers, Lauren and Andrew.
These workshops go over Balboa foundations and are for anyone new to Balboa or looking to brush up on the basics. This is an ideal opportunity if you're a 'bal-baby' or simply need a refresher on the fundamentals. Even if you’re not attending the Balington workshops, or even the socials, it’s a great chance to learn from Wellington’s best!
Who Should Attend:
Balington Full Pass holders with no Balboa experience: Attendance is mandatory. We want the workshops to run as smoothly as possible, and it helps if everyone has their basics down.
Balington Full Pass holders with some Balboa experience: Highly encouraged! Even experienced dancers benefit from polishing their basics — you might be surprised what you can improve.
Not attending Balington? All are welcome if you're interested in learning Balboa. If you plan to attend Balington socials, it'll be a great idea to join.

Doors Open: 12:45pm
Class 1: 1:00pm-2:15pm
Class 2: 2:30pm-3:45pm
Practice time: 3:45pm-4:15pm
Please attend both Class 1 and Class 2 — the skills from each class build progressively.

About Lauren and Andrew:
Lauren and Andrew have been dancing and teaching Balboa together since 2010, back when it was still a bit of a novelty in New Zealand. Since then, they’ve been sharing the dance across Wellington and around the country, taking Balboa-fuelled holidays to events worldwide, and enthusiastically geeking out about the finer details of the dance with anyone who’ll listen. Come and join them for a couple of classes aimed at total beginners and those wanting a refresh: the perfect way to get your feet ready for the main event. No experience, no partner, no worries!
