The Baking and Cake Design Fundamentals Week in Jersey City is a one-week program for kids and youth who are excited to explore the art and science of baking. Campers spend the week learning essential baking skills, including measuring, mixing, and decorating, while creating cupcakes, cookies, and small cakes. They also focus on cake design fundamentals, practicing frosting techniques, creative decorations, and presentation.

Taylor Baked

Local small business Taylor Baked, Taylor herself will be leading the intensive workshops during the camp week.

• Hands-on baking workshop focused on fundamentals
• Cookie making session with emphasis on precision and technique
• Creative cookie decorating using seasonal and natural elements
• Student-led intensive based on individual baking interests
• Frosting skills and technique-building workshop

Campers will take home a variety of allergen-friendly baked treats they’ve made throughout the week. Along the way, they’ll gain skills in baking fundamentals, frosting techniques, creative decorating, and an understanding of ingredient sourcing and kitchen safety.
