Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites invites home bakers throughout the region to showcase their cherished sweets and treats in the Baked into Bethlehem Baking Challenge! Share a family recipe that tells your story and compete for a chance to advance to the live finals while competing for great prizes!Round 1
April 17–18 at Historic Bethlehem Community Heritage Day (winners announce at 10:30 a.m. on April 18)
Submit your favorite cake, pie, pastry or dessert at the Luckenbach Mill on April 17. A panel of local culinary professionals including Richard Groman of Groman’s Bakery will then sample and judge your masterpiece for flavor, appearance, texture and the story behind the recipe, with the six people advancing to the finals announced at Community Heritage Day on April 18. Your baking work of art will then be part of the Old-Fashioned Bake Sale at Community Heritage Day, helping to support the nonprofit Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites.
Finals
May 30, 2-4 p.m., at Luckenbach Mill
The community is invited to watch the top six Baking Challenge finalists present their showstopper recipes live! Enjoy complimentary light refreshments, meet baking experts from King Arthur Baking and celebrate the family traditions that make Bethlehem and our region so special.
Whether you want to compete or cheer on the finalists, this event is full of fun, flavor and community spirit.
Baker entry fee: $10
Finals tickets: $10 ages 13 and up; free for ages 12 & under
