About this Event
Welcome to BAHT 2024!
This year, we are introducing our brand-new conference app: from 19th September, you will be able to access the app to see our full programme, check where the sessions will be held, read up on our speakers and connect with other delegates and our conference exhibitors.
The British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT) was officially launched in February 1984 which means that we have been promoting hand therapy and supporting our members for 40 years! The healthcare sector landscape has changed dramatically during this time and a running theme through conference will be a celebration of how far we have come both as an organisation, and as an integrated AHP profession.
For our 37th annual conference we are meeting in Sheffield - 'the city that is described as a village because of how friendly everyone is' and we welcome you to join us! Sheffield is notably famous for its production of steel but also for its proximity to the stunning Peak District National Park which features in this years conference logo.
This year's Key Note speaker needs no introduction as we welcome Consultant Hand Therapist Sarah Mee based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to join us. Sarah is a long standing BAHT member and recent Natalie Barr lifetime achievement award winner.
We also welcome Mr James Bedford, BAHT Honorary President and Chair of BSSH Trauma committee, as he delivers this years presidential address. We have a great programme lined up with well known and influential speakers already confirmed.
Keep your eyes peeled for programme details coming soon via BAHT website, ebulletin and social media!
A social conference dinner/networking opportunity is included in all 2-day conference tickets; the dinner will take place on Friday 4th October at Sardinian restaurant Domo in Sheffield's Kelham District. A set menu will be served with vegetarian/vegan choices available. 1-Day ticket holders for Friday or Saturday are welcome to attend the dinner: please select the 1-Day plus Delegate Dinner ticket option, where you can choose the conference day you want to attend and where you will automatically register for the dinner.
*BAHT is a non-profit charitable organisation and fees are set to cover costs only.*
