Join us for an evening of cinematic storytelling and visual artistry as filmmaker Daniel Levin and illustrator Igor Karash (Kinematografika) present Bagatelle, a new graphic novel in development adapted from Levin’s award-winning short film of the same name. The artists will share their vision for the project and discuss their creative process, offering insight into the evolution of this interdisciplinary work. The program includes a special screening of the original film alongside a showcase of Karash’s evocative illustrations, which reimagine the story through a fresh visual language.
DVD copies of the film and archival giclée prints from the original artwork will be available for purchase.
This project is supported in part by Houston Arts Alliance and Houston Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs.
