About this Event
This is a Bristol WalkFest event provided by Friends of Badock's Wood in partnership with Bristol Naturalists' Society.
Led by Ray Barnett, Bristol Naturalists' Society
Local moths and butterfly expert Ray Barnett will lead a short walk to talk about the plants that are important for moths and vice versa - e.g. which plants are pollinated by moths.
He, along with other Bristol Naturalists' Society moth enthusiasts, will do some "dusking" - seeing what moths might be flying at dusk, and will then set up a moth trap as it gets dark and catch and identify moths.
Ray will be using his moth trap to catch and identify evening and night flying moths, then let them go.
All children (under 16) must be accompanied by an adult. If you need to leave before the end time that will be fine but please tell the organisers that you are leaving the event.
Please note we do not charge but we do accept donations.
You are advised to bring a torch and wear warm clothing.
Any questions please contact the organiser.
