BAD BABY

Playwright Aaron Jafferis collaborates with composers Dahlak Brathwaite and Daniel Bernard Roumain to create Bad Baby, a new, New Haven-based interactive music theatre work. First-time dad Aaron wants to do right by this new pink baby in his life - but his white parents, his Black friends, his long-dead ancestors, and this show’s underpaid actors all have something to say! Contemporary hip-hop bumps and grinds with classical violin; Bad Baby births a sound old enough to crack the links between race and money, and new enough to lay bare the raw hearts beneath.
