About this Event
Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes conversation with Don Zientara — the legendary founder of Inner Ear Studio in Arlington, Virginia.
Known for shaping the sound of Washington, D.C.’s punk and alternative rock scene, Don has worked with some of the most influential bands of the last four decades — including Henry Rollins, Bad Brains, Fugazi, Minor Threat, Scream, Government Issue, and The Slickee Boys. His studio captured the raw energy and authenticity that defined an era.
Mark Segraves of NBC4 will be asking Don to share stories from his decades in the studio — from early DIY recordings to the evolution of D.C.’s vibrant music community. Attendees will get a unique glimpse into the creative process, the people behind the music, and how Inner Ear became a cornerstone of local and national music history.
Plus, Don will pick up his guitar and treat us to a few of his own songs.
Don’t miss this chance to meet a true legend of D.C. music and experience an afternoon of stories, sound, and inspiration.
Tickets $15 in advance $20 at the door.
