GUIDES: Dirty Girls Lorraine and Denise
What are you paying for: For hiking and backpacking events, we have a Lead Guide for the adventure. Her job is to set the pace of the hike and stop for breaks at regular intervals. DGA also provides a sweep, who hikes at the back of the pack. Her job is to problem solve any struggles customers are having and support them through the adventure. All DGA guides monitor trail and weather conditions in advance and during the event to promote safety, and continually monitor participants to ensure all is well. Guides have significant experience on the trail and in supporting a group along the way. DGA also fosters an environment of “No Dirty Girl left behind” i.e. non competitive, supportive adventure, with opportunities to meet and get to know like minded people! Guides frequently share historical information about the region as well as information regarding the local plants, animals, etc. The guide is also equipped with first aid materials and the ability to call for emergency extraction.
