Module two introduces digital navigation using platforms like CalTopo, including trip planning, GPS tracking, and managing offline maps.
Each module is delivers a balanced mix of classroom instruction and hands-on field application.
You’ll learn to plan efficient routes, stay oriented, and adapt to changing conditions. This course emphasizes real-world decision-making, risk management, and integrating analog and digital systems for confident, safe backcountry travel in Colorado and beyond.
