About this Event
Once upon a time, the world was dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc. Well, times have changed, and the 21st century has been a boom time for the traditional, native and local varieties planted in many European vineyards. Tonight we'll be delving into vinous history, tasting wines made from grapes that have survived the internationalist purges of the 1990s and have come out the other side offering flavour, individuality and, frequently, outstanding value for money.
Whether you need a Mavrud to go with your steak or a Carricante for your trout, you'll find it—and much more—on tonight's voyage of discovery.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
