Join us on September 6th from 10am-1:00pm as we celebrate the work of Plastic Free Cities students with a clothing swap and networking event!
✨Learn about the incredible work Orlando high school students are doing to lead their communities towards a cleaner, healthier, plastic-free future, and follow their example by participating in a community clothing swap at Audubon Park Covanent Church.
🐟Meet organizations that are paving the way for a more sustainable, plastic-free Orlando!
🦋Participate in a raffle for a reuse starter kit, including a Stanley cup and reusable cutlery kit!
👖Start the school year with a fresh new wardrobe and help protect the planet! Wearing pre-loved clothes instead of buying new reduces waste and cuts down on plastic pollution. Less plastic means cleaner waterways and springs and healthy manatees!
HOW IT WORKS:
- Bring your clean, gently used clothing so that somebody else can give it a new life!
- All clothing is FREE, and all ages are welcome!
- Anyone can bring or take clothing, and you do not have to bring clothing to participate.
- Please bring clothes that are suitable for a school environment, so avoid bringing pajamas, bathing suits, shoes/socks, or very worn/used clothing.
We will provide:
🌱Light snacks & coffee
🌱 A water jug for water refills
🌱Community Service Hours
Please bring your own reusable water bottle or cup if you have one! We will not provide single-use plastic bottles, but we will have a water refill station.
Leftover clothing will be donated to One Heart Children and Family to directly assist Orlando families in need.
