About this Event
Glide Memorial Church will be hosting a Back-to-School Celebration for Our Young Scholars- and we need your help preparing. Show up to help us stuff our backpacks full of the school supplies our young scholars need most. The backpacks will be distributed to families determined to be in the most need in the Tenderloin at GLIDE’s Family, Youth and Childcare Center, GLIDE’s Family Resource Center, GLIDE Housing, and GLIDE Kids. Our goal is to equip youth and families with essential and often costly school supplies, ensuring a successful start to the academic year.
We have another volunteer opportunity giving away the backpacks to the children and families the following day, but only those with background checks are eligible; contact Freddy Martin, [email protected], for more details.
