Join us this Pride Month on Wednesday 24 June 2026 for Pride in Leadership, a morning of conversation, community, and networking celebrating LGBTQ+ voices, experiences, and leadership.
We are excited to welcome John Hyland as part of our speaker panel.
John Hyland is a Liverpool-based LGBTQ+ activist, advocate, and the creator and host of Proudly Said, an award-nominated community podcast giving everyday people within the LGBTQ+ community a platform to share their stories.
With over fifteen years of experience across Pride leadership, grassroots organising, and LGBTQ+ advocacy, John has held senior roles including Co-Chair of Liverpool Pride and co-founder of LCR Pride Foundation. He also made history as the first openly LGBTQ+ councillor in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.
John believes visibility is an act of leadership in itself, and brings that perspective to everything he does, from podcasting to public speaking to community connection across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
Alongside John, the event will feature a panel of speakers discussing authentic leadership, inclusion, allyship, career growth, and creating workplaces where people feel seen, supported, and able to thrive.
Following the panel discussion, there will be an opportunity to connect with other professionals, allies, and community members through an informal networking session.
Whether you are early in your career, an established leader, or simply looking to meet others in the community, this event is an opportunity to share experiences, hear different perspectives, and celebrate Pride through leadership and connection.
There is also the opportunity for complimentary hot-desking at Clockwise Liverpool following the event, until 5pm.
