Die spanische Geigerin Cristina Ardelean lebt seit über zehn Jahren in Deutschland und ist als Pädagogin und freischaffende Musikerin tätig. Nach ihrem klassischen Studium an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln begann sie, zunehmend in die Welt der populären Musik und Improvisation einzutauchen. Diese vielseitige Ausrichtung führte zu zahlreichen Kooperationen mit Ensembles in NRW sowie zu Projekten mit internationalen Künstler*innen.
Mit diesem Konzert bringt Cristina ihr 2022 begonnenes Bachelorstudium im Fach Jazz-Geige zu Ende, und präsentiert eigene Kompositionen sowie Arrangements in verschiedenen Besetzungen.
Es war eine intensive Zeit, in der sie viele neue Erfahrungen im Jazzbereich sammeln konnte, begleitet vor allem von den Dozenten Axel Lindner, Roger Hanschel und Gunther Tiedemann.

Spanish violinist Cristina Ardelean has been living in Germany for over ten years and works as a teacher and freelance musician. After completing her classical studies at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, she began to immerse herself increasingly in the world of popular music and improvisation. This versatile approach led to numerous collaborations with ensembles in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as projects with international artists.
With this concert, Cristina concludes her bachelor’s degree in jazz violin, which she began in 2022, and presents her own compositions and arrangements in various ensembles.
It has been an intense period during which she has gained many new experiences in the field of jazz, accompanied above all by lecturers Axel Lindner, Roger Hanschel, and Gunther Tiedemann.
