📍 Which overlook?
We will be on the overlook directly across from the Carnegie Library on Grandview. Use the address: 315 Grandview Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15211 to locate it.
🗓️⏰ Schedule:
6:30pm - beginner Bachata lesson
7-10pm - open social dancing! Mostly Bachata with a few Salsas, Merengues, and even a Dembow animation thrown in.
💵 Cost
FREE and open to all.
Anyone who buys their full pass to the FTLOB Summer Weekender is contributing to covering the costs of this event. ($450+ in permits)
💼 What to bring:
- WATER! The nearest restaurant is blocks away.
- Consider a fanny pack for essentials like keys. The overlook does not have a safe space for you to keep your belongings.
👟 Shoes:
Wear comfortable shoes that you can dance in on concrete.
🚻 Bathrooms:
The nearest restaurant is several blocks away on Shiloh St.
🍽️ Grab food before/after:
Down at the end of Grandview on the right is Shiloh St. This is a hot spot of restaurants for this area. Some we like are:
☕Grand Brew - closes 7pm
🍦 DiFiore’s Ice Cream (cash only) - closes 9pm
🍽️ Shiloh Gastro - closes 11pm
🍽️ Gordo’s Tacos & Tequila - closes 12am
🚗 Drive & park on Mt. Washington:
- Street parking on Grandview, free at this time.
- Some paid lots on Shiloh St., read signs to check
- Residential parking on side streets - beware. Read signs.
- Take the Monongahela Incline to Mt. Washington:
You can also park at the bottom of the Monongahela Lower Station in Station Square and ride the incline up to Grandview Avenue on Mt. Washington. From there, you just walk down the street until you find us across from the library.
