Our class structure has been carefully designed to improve students learning experience from beginners to intermediate/advance levels.Tuesdays:
- 7pm Bachata Footwork/Shine.
This class is designed for people who already have some experience in dancing Dominican Bachata and is looking for extra footwork challenges to improve his/her dancing. There are opportunities to perform the routine as well if desired.
- 8pm Bachata Fundamental Course.
This class is designed for beginners or people who do not have Dominican Bachata experience. To do well in Dominican Bachata, this is an essential 4 weeks course. It covers the traditional bachata basics with lead/follow connection, and the common moves for partner work in social dancing.
Wednesdays:
- 7pm Beginners Cuban Salsa.
Come along to this class if you are new to Salsa. This level caters to both complete beginners and those who have dabbled in a little Salsa before.
If you have done some Salsa but want to work on the fundamental technique of Cuban Salsa and develop confidence with basic partner work patterns, this class is for you.
Here you will learn the basic steps along with the technique and principles to help you become a clear leader or follower.
Absolute beginners are welcome to come along at any point during the course – if you can give us some notice that would be great but not essential.
- 8pm Improver-Intermediate Cuban Salsa.
It’s time to level up your Salsa!
At this level it is anticipated that you already have the fundamentals of being able to either lead or follow in basic partner work patterns.
Here you will learn more complex Cuban Salsa moves that you can use both in a Rueda de Casino and on the social dance floor.
Each week will build on what you have already learned and aims to further develop your skills and confidence as a Cuban Salsa dancer.
No partners needed.
Thursdays:
- 7pm Bachata Footwork/Shine.
This class is designed for people who already have some experience in dancing Dominican Bachata and is looking for extra footwork challenges to improve his/her dancing. There are opportunities to perform the routine as well if desired. This class is only available while the periodical Bachata Performance Course is not active. Another Bachata Footwork/Shine class is held on Tuesdays 7pm.
- 8pm Bachata Improvers/Intermediate.
Expecting that you have already learnt all the contents in the Bachata Fundamental beginners’ course. This class is the extension of the beginners’ course. Each week you will learn some combination movements and hips/body techniques. In addition, with the application of the SET concept (Shapes/Energies/Timing) to the style and develop further in the areas of musicality, flavour and creativity.
Intermediate/Advance level via private lessons or invitation.
