Rodchata is a trailblazer who pioneered the popularization of bachata dancing in the Bay Area. He began teaching bachata at a time when the dance was not widely embraced, and he holds the distinction of organizing the first inaugural bachata festival in the USA. His influence has extended globally, as he has imparted his knowledge of bachata to enthusiasts in 46 countries across 350 cities worldwide including the Dominican Republic.
